Blog 2, The History of stripping

Stripping has been used as a form of entertainment for mostly male audeinses for years. Stripping is preformed all over the world in differnet forms. A strip club in the Middle East could be very different compared to a strip club in the United States. In general, strip clubs provide a relaxing atmospher where men can go to watch beautiful woman dance. They were created to a sanctuary were men can go to relax and have a safe envirement to get adalt X rated entertainment. Strip clubs offer men a distraction from the stressors of everyday life.
Stripping has always been looked down apon. People have always said that it is disgusting and that strip clubs were dirty. In fact They are not dirty at all, they are dark with bright lights so the audience can see the girls. They have many couches with large plush pillows and even have specialty V.I.P. rooms. But because of the bad talk and the negativity, stripping has struggled to stay legal since its earliest days. This is because stripping is often confused with and compared to prostitution. This is not at all true. Strippers are just dancers. They preform a dance commonly with a prop like a poll or a chair. The dancers very, very rarely have intercourse with the clients.
Two of the first strip clubs in England were the Moulin Rouge and the Windmill theater. In the early years to make stripping legal, at the Windmill Theater the woman were not allowed to move their bodies while they were nude. At this time many ladies used ropes to change there position, woman also used fans. Fan dancing is a form of dancing were the girls have all the control of how much skin they want to show. This is a very exciting form of entertainment for the men because it is that element of surprise and anticipation. The women who wanted to strip and the men that wanted strippers had to fight for the right to do what they want. These two clubs my have been the first two actual clubs in England but no one can really say where and when the first strip clubs were located, but forms of dancing for entertainment were used all through history.
People would say that America is the founding country of actual stripping. In 1916 the Minsky brothers, New York, were the first to come up with the word striptease. The idea of a lap dance is also a completely American concept. Although no one knows were the notion of the pole came from, erotic dancing has been around for centuries in the Eastern cultures. So did Stripping start in America or the Eastern countries? No one can really say because these clubs, customers, and girls have not spoken of their activities. No matter what people say good or bad, woman and men are still ashamed to say they go to or work at a strip club because it is socially frond upon, it is also not what daddy wants his baby girl to be doing.
